The Bean's Nursery

We picked up The Bean's rug when we were in PA, so now his nursery is complete! We're very happy with the way it turned out. It's a nice cheerful room for him to spend time in. (He's even started napping in his crib during the days.)

  1. I love it! It looks great. He's going to be a smart little boy with all of those books :) Any recommendations?

  2. Thanks Ashleigh!

Half the books in the nursery are Ollie's and half are ours... it used to be our "office" and we couldn't quite give up all of the space (his closet is also full of our stuff).

As far as kids books go, I admit to having a bit of an issue. Oliver probably has, oh, a couple hundred books.

The book he's been the most engaged with so far is our "Baby Faces" book with real photos of babies in it. He just STARES at the pictures. It's very cute. Books with bright bold colours also hold his interest. I try to keep some touch-and-feel type books in rotation because I think those are more stimulating for him too.

As far as reading to him goes we like books that are fun to read because different dialogue or rhyme, as well as ones with nice stories ...there are also the classics and fairy/folk tales.

Can you see why I have a bit of a problem? LOL.
